Wahsega Valley Farm

  • Another sad pond shot...
Our new farm will be changing a lot over the next few years, and I hope to add photos here of all those changes.

Farm Tools & Equipment

  • Ridin' the machine - yeehaw!
This is Mike's album. He LOVES tools and things that move dirt and have power and make noise.

People

  • Mike, after getting home from working at the farm
Not sure who will be in this album, but for people shots, this is the place.

Critters

  • Cujo eyes
Since we don't live at the farm yet, we don't have any farm critters, but I'll add what creatures we come across along the way.

Jasmine flower

I just made the prettiest tea ever. I've seen the flower teas, but never bought any because I thought they were a bit expensive. But a lady from work went to China and brought back some just for me. Look how pretty this jasmine tea is.

Here are the tea "buds"...

Tea buds

And, here is a bud after a few minutes in the hot water. It just slowly unfurled. So cool!

And in full bloom...

And out, draining...

Not only was it pretty, the tea was good too. I reckon I could call that a tea event for me - watching it come alive like that. Ah, the simple things...

Today is a kitchen day. I just made a pumpkin apple pie and am prepping for supper tonight and some things I want to make tomorrow. I also want to make Mike some healing hand balm and will try to squeeze that in tomorrow since I have a vacation day... yep, another vacation day! They are too few and far between.
