We're going to get a kitty tomorrow! I'm sooooo excited. It's the dead of winter, so I don't know how many kittens are available, but we're going to go check it out. We still have corpulent Cujo with her "issues", but she is so good at staying in her two spots and is pretty happy most of the time that we don't feel any pressure about her status right now. And a new kitten might entertain her from her lofty spot on the couch or when she's relegated to her kitty condo when we're not home. And we still have Miko, Mike's cat, who barely tolerates me because she's just not a very nice cat and has brain damage I am quite sure. Yes, it must be brain damage. Anyway, I want a new cat friend. Cujo is very limited emotionally and intellectually (yes, cats are both) and Miko usually ignores me. As my friend Martine would say, they are "flowerpot cats" - pretty to look at, but not very interactive. So we're going to get a kitty this weekend. Maybe I'll have a new bed partner like Mesa used to be. She'd sleep right between Mike and me, moving into her spot once she knew we were ready to sleep.
Before looking for a kitten, we'll spend the morning at the condo to make sure it's really spiffed up for our new tenant who is moving in next weekend. It's already clean, but we want to wash the windows and just really make it sparkle and look inviting.
On Sunday I'll hopefully have my new kitty friend and will spend the day at home getting him or her adjusted and maybe even take Monday off for the same reason. I still need to adjust my hair souffle and latest batch of body butter; hopefully I can squeeze that in. I've not ordered my supplies yet though to make my face cream and I gotta soon. Life keeps getting in the way! I did order the first chapter of the online herb course I want to take though. If I like it, I'll order the complete course and dig in to that.
The Super Bowl is this weekend from what I understand. I'm not a sports watching person; for me it's like watching paint dry. But Mike said he might take the day off and watch it when it comes on. That will be nice and I think I'm going to make us some home made pizza for the game. I've not made bread in years and used to make pizzas from scratch years ago quite often. So Mike is all excited about that and made a list of all the toppings he wanted on the pizza. He wants pepperoni, but that is the nastiest stuff ever and I don't eat mammals anyway, so he adjusted the list to include lots of two kinds of cheeses and his favorite veggies. On my side I will have fresh basil and tomatoes for a starter.
And while he's watching the game, I think I'm going to make a crochet hair toy wall hanging for my bathroom. I think it will be much easier to see what I have and make a choice than the way I'm set up now with my sticks and combs in ceramic containers. Crocheting will be a challenge with a new kitty around, but I'll have fun handling it!
