Too much packing and moving things to the cabin has been going on to visit here and write anything lately, but I'll at least drop in to write that I got a haircut last night! Mike cut off six inches and it put my length back up to waist like in this picture:
And waist length gives my hair some swing. At almost 40", where it was, it just clung to my body when it was down, though it was rarely down.
So... my reasons for cutting back are:
1. I had a horrendous shed about four months ago and my hair felt quite a bit thinner. In my ten years of hair growing, I'd never had a shed like that.
2. I rarely wore my hair down even though my most favorite way of wearing it is loose and free. I just want to wear it down more often.
3. I felt like an old lady with my hair always up in a bun. It's not the most complimentary look for my face or height or clothes or shape or attitude. Of course, maybe I wouldn't feel that way I wasn't quickly approaching old lady-hood - ha! I don't mind looking older because I am older, but a bun sometimes just ratchets up the look on me more than I'm ready for. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. For now.
4. With thinking about possibly using henna beginning this summer, I want my hair to be shorter and in great shape. I've read that several people attribute their longer lengths to using henna because it strengthened and thickened their hair so. Maybe it will help me finally get to classic if it does its magic on my hair too. Though, right now I am quite enjoying being at waist again.
I'll try to post a new picture of my hair and also get back soon to write about other news and happenings.
