Our new kitty came home yesterday and he is such a cutie-pie. Eight weeks old and just two pounds. And a head-bumper big time. Bump after bump after bump. Sooo cute. I almost named him Bumper because that's all he wanted to do when he got here... that and just being super affectionate. He appears to be part Himalayan and is very handsome. And he's got beautiful blue eyes...
Mike wanted to name him Dusty because he thinks he looks like a little dust-mop - kinda "dirty" around the edges. Since I named Sophie and didn't have a preference for a male kitten name yet, Dusty it is... our little duster-buster who was found in a dumpster.
Below he is just about to fall asleep... the eyes are almost closed.
And then... out like a light.
Today he's getting quite familiar with the lay of the land - on the main level of the cabin at least. Sophie and Miko don't approve of him being here, but Sophie is such a motherer that she'll warm up to him very soon and they'll be best of friends like she and Zena were. They'll both be running around outside getting into all kinds of adventures together. But Dusty won't be going outside anytime soon; he's got to get familiar with home first and feel safe and secure.
I'm so glad he's finally home with us.
